Last month HTC dropped the price of the HTC 10 $100. Today, it released the anticipated JBL USB Type-C headphones that are only available exclusively from HTC until early 2017.

As I stated in my full review the HTC 10 offers the best wired headphone experience of any smartphone with sound so clear and compelling it nearly brought me to tears. These new JBL headphones connect via the bottom USB Type-C port on the HTC 10 and delivers an immersive noise cancelling experience through this port.

The headphones have a $199.99 value, but if you purchase an HTC 10 between now and 31 August (or while supplies last) then you will get the headphones for free. Combined with the current $599 price of the HTC 10, the HTC 10 works out to an equivalent $399 price with this offer.

The headphones, JBL Reflect Aware C, offer noise cancellation, adaptive noise control, sweat proof construction, and reflective tangle-free cables. They have 14.8mm dynamic drivers with a frequency response from 10kHz-22kHz.

As a fan of the HTC 10’s high resolution audio, earbud headphones, and noise cancellation technology, especially for my frequent flights, I may soon have to order a pair of these earphones. It will be interesting to see if these work with other USB Type-C devices as well.
